Description
Summary:Air pollutant emissions during construction of the Susitna Hydroelectric Project may be high enough to require submittal of a Permit to Construct with Prevention of Significant Deterioration review to the Alaska Dept. of Environmental Conservation (ADEC). This monitoring program was established to measure baseline values of total suspended particulates (TSP), as such particulates caused by natural windblown dust is the only significant air contaminant at the site. Two sites are monitored: the proposed Watana campsite and another site along the Susitna River over three miles away. This report presents the preliminary results of the program conducted at the Watana campsite for the period May 30 to August 10, 1984. It is the second of three reports written for this program being submitted to ADEC.
