Summary:This report discusses revegetation of areas disturbed by construction of the proposed Alaska Highway Gas Pipeline with four test sites that were established to investigate various factors which can affect the success of northern revegetation program. The factors studied included plant adaptability to northern conditions, the effect of competition, the effect of aspect and slope, and the applicability of the shredding technique of revegetation. This report covers the revegetation project along the Alaska Highway from the Alaska border to the British Columbia border.
