Volumes 1 and 2 of this set serve as a summary to the series: Instream flow relationships report series, technical report.

Volume 1 of this set is was published as a preliminary draft in December 1984 (numbered SUS 437), a working draft in February 1985 (numbered SUS 455), and as a final report in December 1985 (numbered APA 3060 and SUS 602) all under slightly different titles. The most recent draft of volume 1 that this volume 2 would complement was titled: Settlement process, instream flow relationships report, volume no. 1.

No final version of this volume 2 is known to exist.

Section II is a study on juvenile chinook salmon habitat. Section III is an analysis on juveniles and adults of the four other salmon species, arctic grayling, burbot, and Dolly Varden.
