Summary: | The primary objectives are to classify, delineate, and map existing vegetation and wildlife habitats in the upper and middle Susitna River Basin in those areas that would be directly altered or disturbed by construction and operations of the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. The data will be used to facilitate the assessment of impacts to bird and mammal habitats associated with development of the proposed Project. The study area encompasses a 4-mile buffer zone around the planned access routes, transmission lines, dam, reservoir, powerhouse, and facilities, and includes the corridor north to the Denali Highway and to Cantwell. |
