Summary: | The objectives of the Baseline Water Quality Study are as follows: (1) Document historical water quality data and combine with data generated from this study; (2) Add three years of current stream temperature and meteorological data to the existing data; (3) Develop a monitoring program to adequately characterize surface water physical, chemical, and bacterial conditions in the Susitna River within and downstream of the proposed Project area; (4) Measure baseline metals concentrations in sediment and fish tissue for comparison to state criteria; and (5) Perform a pilot thermal imaging assessment of a portion (between Talkeetna and Devils Canyon) of the Susitna River. |
