Summary: | The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) has led the Alaska LNG Project since late 2016, and now the AGDC board of directors appears ready to sell off the project's assets (its permits, studies, and engineering work) in a formal bidding procedure. Fluor, an engineering and construction company, is preparing a cost estimate for the project in order to clarify the economic viability of the project. The board has outlined several underlying assumptions of its strategic plan through 2021 and a timeline for AGDC, a state corporation, to get out as lead sponsor, a move that is being advocated by Governor Dunleavy. Various amounts of money have been spent by the state legislature towards the effort to promote the project. |
