Summary:Alaskan Northwest Natural Gas Transportation Company asked James T. Jensen, President of Jensen Associates, Inc., an independent energy economics consulting firm, to provide independent judgment regarding issues pertinent to Yukon Pacific Corporation's application to export Alaska natural gas to Japan. The questions are (1) whether North Slope gas reserves are sufficient and economical to warrent construction of two pipeline systems (both ANGTS and TAGS), and (2) whether those gas reserves will be needed more by the U.S. or the Pacific Rim countries in years ahead.
