Summary: | The Prudhoe Bay Unit Working Interest Owners (also called Working Interest Owners of the Prudhoe Bay Unit) submitted this application to request approval by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) to inject miscible hydrocarbon gas into the Sadlerochit Reservoir, a Permo-Triassic sandstone formation, as part of the Prudhoe Bay Miscible Gas Project (a proposed miscible fluid displacement project for enhanced oil recovery). The Governor had designated AOGCC as the jurisdictional agency responsible for approving tertiary recovery projects located on non-federal lands in Alaska for purposes of the Crude Oil Windfall Profit Tax Act of 1980. The Working Interest Group consists of twelve companies. The Unit is divided into two operating areas with ARCO Alaska, Inc. operating the eastern portion and Sohio Alaska Petroleum Company operating the western portion. |
