Summary:This report inventories and analyzes information on settlement in the Tanana Basin area to be used in the regional planning process. This settlement element report is one part of a resource inventory of seven resources also including forestry, agriculture, minerals, outdoor recreation, water, and fish and wildlife. Phase I of the Tanana Basin Area Plan consists of all seven parts of the resource inventory. Phase II evaluates a set of alternative scenarios for the management of state land in the Tanana Basin. Phase III is the final plan that allocates state owned land in the Tanana Basin to different uses and will provide management guidelines for each use or comination of uses.
