| Summary: | This atlas was created to mark focus areas, Susitna geomorphic reach breaks, and various habitat types in the main channel and sloughs of the Susitna River as part of the planning of the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. It covers the Susitna River from river mile 99 at Talkeetna to river mile 234.5 immediately before the Oshetna River confluence. Its purpose is to show all aquatic habitats in the river with the potential to be altered and/or lost as the result of reservoir filling, hydropower operations, and associated changes in flow, water surface elevation, sediment regime, and temperature. |
