The Survey-Inventory Management Reports For Elk By the Alaska Division of Wildlife Conservation

The reports available on this webpage are records of the survey and inventory management activities for Roosevelt elk in Alaska.   This webpage lists reports with the title words "Survey-Inventory" covering all management units published within a single document for the reporting period.   Publication of these reports started in 1989.

Note that the title of this group of reports has changed several times, and the series title to which the reports belong has changed several times.

*   The 1991/1993 issue for elk was published twice in December 1994 with different cover photos.   The earlier printing omits the editor and names the outgoing commissioner, Rosier.   The later printing credits the editor and names the incoming commissioner, Rue.   Nearly all other text appears identical with only small differences due to some reformatting.

The 1999/2001 issue for elk was published twice in November 2002 under two titles.   One printing "Elk Management Report" with a grayscale cover photo omits the editor, has a map appearing in reduced size on page [3] of cover, and lists grants W-27-4 and W-27-5.   The printing "Elk Management Report of Survey-Inventory Activities" with a different color cover photo, credits the editor, has a full-page preliminary map, and lists grants W-27-3 and W-27-4, and each of the two Game Management Unit chapter pages has a header with the series.   The front and back covers have different layout, the text on page [2] of cover is different, and the caption titles vary.   All other text appears identical with only slight differences due to minor reformatting.
