Description
Summary:For this study pre-construction baseline population data on wolverines will be collected in the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project area to enable assessment of the potential effects from development of the proposed Project. This information will be used to estimate the number of wolverines that may be affected by the Project and to evaluate effects on late winter habitats used seasonally by wolverines. The study area extends beyond the Project area, and lies mostly in Game Management Units 13A and 13E and encompases the region south of the Denali Highway, east of the Parks Highway, west of the far-eastern reaches of the Susitna River, and north of latitude N 62°35ʹ.
